Other info: Ok, here's my third attempt. This time I decided to copy a painting from David A Leffel, a very competent stillife painter in my opinion, as I wanted to just not care about making my own motif and concentrate myself more on being able to mix correct colors and values. Things went better this time, because this went very quick, but I still feel that I managed to lay down the right tones rather quickly. Though, many reasons except that which makes it looks better than the two earlier is of course that it is a very nicely composed painting originally which I cannot take any credits from ( I truly wished I made up this one myself :-) ) ....but this painting helped me understanding a lot more. I think it is a very good thing to copy a couple of pictures from now and then, -it's easier to get a bit more in-depth understanding on other artists thoughts and how they have done the different things.
